On 1st March 2026, Navjeevan Children’s Home, Khandwa organized a meaningful celebration of Women’s Day at St. Mary’s Church Hall under the theme “Empowered Women, Empowered Society.” The program witnessed the enthusiastic participation of more than 500 women, creating a vibrant atmosphere of unity, appreciation, and encouragement.

A special highlight of the celebration was the active involvement of the Gianellian Friends, who generously shared their time, talents, and commitment in organizing and animating the entire program. Inspired by the charism of St. Anthony Mary Gianelli, they played a vital role in coordinating the event, welcoming the participants, guiding the flow of the program, and ensuring that the celebration became a joyful and meaningful experience for all. Their presence reflected the spirit of service, collaboration, and care that lies at the heart of the Gianellian mission.

The celebration was honored by the presence of distinguished guests including Ms. Srushti Deshmukh (Additional Collector), Mr. Bajrang Bahadur Singh (City Magistrate), Ms. Priya Meda (Additional Commissioner), Ms. Sulochana (Women Police Station In-charge), Mr. Shahid (City Manager), and Mr. Kadri (Ward Parshad). The gathering was further enriched by the presence of Sr. Grace, Provincial; Sr. Jency, Vice Provincial; and Fr. John Victor, Vicar General of the Diocese of Khandwa, along with sisters from Nepanagar.

The program began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by cultural performances and inspiring messages that highlighted the dignity and strength of women in society. Throughout the celebration, the Gianellian Friends remained actively engaged, supporting every aspect of the program and witnessing to the spirit of communion and shared mission.

The celebration was not only a tribute to women but also a beautiful testimony of how the Gianellian family—sisters and lay collaborators—together live and share the charism of service, compassion, and empowerment in society.🌸
